Overview

ArthAlert is a portfolio-first stock news app for iPhone. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, contact us at support@arthalert.com.

Information We Collect

Depending on how you use ArthAlert, we may collect:

• Device session information, such as an installation identifier, app version, platform, access token, and refresh token.
• Portfolio and watchlist data, including ticker symbols you add manually.
• Push notification information needed to deliver optional alerts and remember your notification preferences.
• Support communications, including your email address and message content when you contact us.
• Advertising and measurement data if ads are enabled and you grant any required tracking permission on iOS.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Create and maintain your device session.
• Personalize the news feed around your holdings and watchlist.
• Send optional push notifications for tracked stocks and save your notification preferences.
• Respond to support requests.
• Show ads and measure ad performance where permitted by your device settings and applicable law.

Push Notifications

Push notifications are optional. If you allow notifications, ArthAlert registers your device token with our backend so we can send stock news alerts based on your settings. You can change ArthAlert notification preferences in the app and can disable system notification permission in iOS Settings.

Advertising and Tracking

ArthAlert may show ads. Where required by Apple or applicable law, we request permission before using data for tracking across apps or websites owned by other companies. Your portfolio and watchlist data are not shared for cross-app tracking. You can control app tracking permission in iOS Settings.

AI and News Processing

ArthAlert may use third-party services to process market news, summarize articles, detect related tickers, and generate plain-language context. We design these workflows to process news content and ticker metadata, not to sell your personal information.

When We Share Information

We may share information with:

• Cloud hosting, database, email, security, notification, and similar service providers that help us provide ArthAlert.
• Advertising providers, if ads are enabled and your device settings allow the relevant use.
• Authorities or other parties when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or to prevent abuse.

We do not sell your portfolio or watchlist data.

Retention and Deletion

We keep information for as long as needed to provide ArthAlert, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain security. You can delete your ArthAlert account data from within the app. Deletion removes your device account data from ArthAlert, including portfolio/watchlist data and notification data associated with that device account.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including HTTPS for app-to-backend communication and secure local storage for app session tokens. No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Your Choices

• You can add or remove portfolio and watchlist symbols in the app.
• You can manage notification preferences in the app and in iOS Settings.
• You can manage tracking permission in iOS Settings.
• You can delete your account data in the app.

Children

ArthAlert is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted at this page with a new "Last updated" date.
